Nikujyaga (beef & potato stew, Japanese-style)
ă»Niku = meat in Japanese, ă»jyaga = jyagaimo = potato in Japanese
I’m not sure if I call this meal a “stew”. Because a stew for me is more likely meat and vegetables with very thick soup, but “Nikujyaga” is not. It’s cooked with condiments, and simmered until almost the liquid part has gone.
Anyway, meat and potato, that must be a great combination. You will love this.
